The Grocer reported last week that Bacardi, which acquired Patrón in 2018, will stop making Patrón XO Cafe. The brand calls the coffee-
flavored liqueur "excellent for sipping, in cocktails or as a dessert ingredient," but The Grocer reports that it was also a favorite shot in U.K. pubs.

Patrón Tequila president and COO, Mauricio Vergara, informed The Grocer that Patrón XO Cafe production will be halted to focus on
"production and supply of our core super and ultra-premium tequilas," such as Patrón Silver, Reposado, and Añejo. Vergara called this Patrón's "top priority."
The report says this cessation doesn't hurt tequila sales. Vergara called tequila "the second fastest-growing category in value across the globe."
